The County Football League has strengthened itself with two strong players for the women's team, Hallgerður Kristinsdóttir and Margrét Ingþórsdóttir, who will play with us until the end of the 2025 season.
Hallgerður, a 23-year-old centre-back, comes on loan from Grótta where she has played since 2022. She was raised at Valur but began her senior career at Tindastól before joining Grótta. Hallgerður has played a total of 91 KSÍ games and scored 3 goals.
Margrét Ingþórsdóttir is a 36-year-old and experienced goalkeeper who will take over from Bergljóta Júlíana, who is heading to the United States to play college football. Margrét will be between the posts for the rest of the season. She has played 209 games for KSÍ in her career, including 3 games for Fylkir in 2013.
This is an extremely important addition to the team for the second half of the season and we look forward to seeing them in the orange uniform!
