Training fees
* A 390 kr note fee will be added to each payment slip. If training fees are distributed to a credit card, a 2% fee will be added.
Registration and payment
Registration and payment of training fees is through Sportabler.
All practitioners must be registered. The registration process provides all necessary information, including course prices and whether payments can be split and if so, how many.
If a guardian is unable to pay the membership fee system with a payment slip or credit card, they must contact the office, fylkir@fylkir.is. It is important to contact the office if there are financial difficulties and find a solution that will lead to the practitioner's continued participation.
All changes to registration cost 1500 kr per transaction / note, excluding collection costs and late payment interest.
Coaches communicate with players and parents through Sportabler. This includes information about practices, games/tournaments, and other work-related information. When a player is registered, they are automatically connected to the program for the group in question.
Please contact the County Office if you encounter any problems.
Leisure time allowance
The Leisure Card is a subsidy system for leisure activities for children and adolescents aged 6–18 with legal residence in Reykjavík. The subsidy is ISK 75,000 per year and can be used to pay for a stay at a leisure center or part of the child's participation and training fees.
The grant takes effect from January 1 of the year the child reaches the age of 6 and is valid until the year the teenager reaches the age of 18. Individuals over the age of 18 must register themselves to use the grant.
The City of Reykjavík's free time grant can be used to pay for training fees at all County departments. The grant must be used when registering in Sportabler at the beginning of the season or when the athlete starts.
Payments made with the City of Reykjavík's leisure grant are not permitted to be refunded and the grant cannot be transferred between siblings.
It is open for distribution from January 1 to December 31.
Discounts
Sibling discount
Sibling discounts are provided within each department.
Example:
- Example 1: Siblings A and B practice the same sport (eg both play soccer). A discount is then given on the next highest fee.
- Example 2: Siblings A and B each practice a different sport within the club (eg handball and soccer). In this case, a sibling discount is not granted.
Discount rates:
- The full amount of the highest fee is paid.
- 10% discount on the next highest fee.
- 20% discount on the third highest fee.
- 30% discount on the fourth highest fee.
Reduction in training fees due to overlapping training sessions
It is possible to apply for a reduction in training fees during the winter if a practitioner practices more than one sport within the County and training times overlap.
Reduction based on the number of workouts per week:
- 2 workouts per week: 40% discount if one workout overlaps.
- 3 workouts per week: 25% reduction for each overlapping workout.
- 4 workouts per week: 20% reduction for each overlapping workout.

General rules:
Practice fees must be paid at the beginning of the season.
Payment of training fees is a prerequisite for participation in training and tournaments that a team or individual attends.
The training fees are mostly covered by the operation of the teams and leagues, and by far the largest expense item is the salaries of the club's coaches. They are paid monthly, meaning that the training fees are the lifeblood of the leagues' operations.
