Fylkir is a model club of ÍSÍ
The Fylkir Sports Club and its departments received recognition from ÍSÍ as an ÍSÍ Model Club on September 27, 2024. The club has been working towards this for several years and is therefore very pleased to have this confirmed. The club's representatives are convinced that this recognition will help the club and its departments in the projects ahead.
The ÍSÍ Model Club is a quality project of the sports movement that focuses on sports activities. Sports clubs and departments within clubs can apply for recognition from ÍSÍ if certain conditions are met. Once recognition has been granted, it is valid for four years.
The recognition comes with various benefits
Its holders have approved policies and response plans in most of the issues related to sports activities. There are diverse goals for the work and this alone increases the likelihood that everyone involved in the work in one way or another will row in the same direction, for the good and progress of the club. There are rules of conduct, a privacy policy is clear, as well as policies in education and prevention, equality, environmental and social issues, to name a few. It can be pointed out that municipalities are increasingly demanding that sports clubs have this recognition from ÍSÍ.
