Following the match between Fylkir and Grótta in the quarter-finals of the Men's Milk Cup last Saturday, Fylkir would like to make it clear that the behavior shown by some of the fans there is far from what Fylkir wants to stand for. The behavior that occurred there has nothing to do with sports or just life in general. The club will take this seriously and do what it can to ensure that similar things do not happen again. The Football League would also like to apologize to all those who were subjected to this unacceptable behavior.
It is a great challenge for the County to have a good environment and for everyone to feel safe and welcome in our community. Our motto is Joy – Respect – Ambition. They will be the guiding principles in handling this matter. This statement is by no means the last thing the County Football League will do in this matter.
Ragnar Pall Bjarnason
Chairman of the County Football League
