The County Karate Department introduces a new feature: Adult Karate (18+)
The County Karate Club is starting a new karate group for adults (18+), with an emphasis on exercise that is suitable for everyone. The group is intended for both beginners and advanced, young and old, and the goal is to offer fun, varied and challenging exercises.
The first practice will take place on Monday, February 2nd.
Practices will take place in the Karate Hall in Fylkissel, Norðlingabraut 12 (on the right side of the tent) and will be practiced twice a week:
- Mondays 6:00 PM–7:30 PM
- Thursdays 5:30 PM–7:00 PM
The exercises will focus on, among other things:
- Basics of karate
- Strength, flexibility and endurance
- Fun games and varied activities
The department is offering a great introductory offer: The first two weeks are free, and then upon registration, two additional weeks are added for free, and after that the semester is half price (20,000 ISK)
Having tried various sports, I can honestly say that karate is one of the most fun and diverse sports I have ever practiced. The exercises engage the whole body and challenge the brain – there is always something new to learn.
– Þórey Arna Árnadóttir, a practitioner in the adult group of the karate club
There is no requirement to be in top shape, just show up, try it out and have fun.
