
The Fylkir Sports Club honored its athletes for the year 2025, on Friday, December 19, when the selection of the club's athletes of the year was announced.
Ásgeir Eyþórsson is the most experienced and most capped player in the history of the Fylkir Football League. Ásgeir has played his entire career with Fylkir and has played a total of 393 games for the club's championship team, 188 of which in the top division.
Signý Lára was raised in Árbæn and served as captain of the Icelandic women's national football team during the past season. She was one of the key players on the team and is known for her great ambition, unwavering hard work and never giving up.
In addition to them, Saker Nasser from the County Karate Department and Þórarinn Gunnar Óskarsson from the Basketball Department were nominated as County Athletes of the Year in 2025.
They are all great role models within the company and we sincerely congratulate them on the nomination and the recognition that comes with it.
