The game will be played at the Tekk field in Árbæn for the next few years

The County Football League and Tekk Furniture Store proudly announce an expanded partnership that includes, among other things, that the County's main stadium will be named Tekk Stadium for the next few years.

Tekk, which has been one of the main sponsors of the County Football League in recent years, is now taking on an even bigger role towards the County than it has been in the past.

Tekk was founded in 1998 by brothers Eyþór and Finnur Kolbeinsson and their wives, Elín Máríu Sigurjónsdóttir and Telma Birgisdóttir – initially under the name Tekk Vöruhús. Tekk's current owners are the couple Telma Birgisdóttir and Finnur Kolbeinsson. Finnur was raised in Árbængur and played nearly 300 games for the Fylkis championship team and was a successful captain of the Fylkis for many years.

Ragnar Páll Bjarnason, chairman of the County Football Association: "We have had a great collaboration with Harald Leifsson and his colleagues at Würth in recent years, for which we are very grateful. At the same time, it is extremely gratifying to introduce an even broader collaboration with Telma and Finn at Tekk. We are particularly proud of strengthening our collaboration with the people of Árbær and Fylkisfólk like them. We allow ourselves to take this as confirmation of the good work that is being done by the County Football Association."

Telma Birgisdóttir, owner of Tekk: "The hearts of Árbær, Selás, Ártúnsholt and Norðlingaholt beat with Fylkir and it is impossible not to be moved. We offer all Fylkir people a special welcome to our store in Skógarlindinn where we promise a warm welcome."

Finnur Kolbeinsson, owner of Tekk: "We at Tekk have for a long time been very happy to support the activities of the Fylki Football Club. I was raised in Fylki and here we are given the opportunity to support Fylki's strong and responsible work for the neighborhood, as well as to draw the attention of all citizens to Tekk and the diverse products that we at Tekk have to offer."
