Eyþór Aron Wöhler has signed a two-year contract with Fylkir. We at Fylkir are very pleased to have reached an agreement with Eyþór, who we see as an important addition to our strong squad that will make an effort to get directly into the top division again.
Eyþór, a striker, has 136 games and 22 goals in the championship. Eyþór played for KR last season but has also played for Breiðablik, HK, ÍA and Afturelding. Eyþór will be 23 at the end of the month and was raised in Afturelding but he joined ÍA and played with Skagamenn in the top division in the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
Eyþór moved to Breiðablik for the 2023 season, but played the second half of that season on loan at HK. For the 2024 season he then switched to KR. Eyþór has 15 caps and 4 goals for the Icelandic youth national team.
"I am very happy to join the ranks of the Fylkismanni at this point in time. Here in Árbæn, everything is in place and I will do everything to do well in the orange jersey in the coming years," Eyþór was quoted as saying at this news.
