Due to the discussion in recent days about increasing training fees, the County Football Association would like to announce the following:

• The salary costs of coaches at the Children and Youth Council (BUR) are estimated at around ISK 67 million in the current period.
• In addition, the cost of competition uniforms at BUR is included in training fees (which means that parents do not pay extra for competition uniforms in addition to training fees), and this cost is estimated at ISK 5 million in the current period.
• Various other costs that should also be covered by training fees are estimated at ISK 5 million. These include tournament costs, travel costs for competitive matches (partially), costs for balls and other equipment, performance training, strength training, referee costs, medical equipment, as well as per diems and travel expenses for coaches.
• Estimated income from training fees for practitioners at BUR amounts to around ISK 62 million in the current period.
• The above key figures show that training fees are estimated to account for approximately 80% of the cost of operating BUR (62 million ISK out of 77 million ISK)
• To bridge this gap between expenses and income (approximately ISK 15 million), BUR has vigorously established various fundraising activities, with the youngest age groups being the most important. Another example is the Football League lottery, in which BUR receives a share.
• From the above, it is clear that training fees would need to be even higher than they are now to cover BUR's costs and/or for the City of Reykjavík to be much more authoritative in its activities.
• When comparing figures between clubs, all factors must be taken into account because what is included in training fees differs between clubs.

We would like to point out that all work carried out by the individuals who are members of BUR as well as the league board, men's and women's championship councils is done on a voluntary basis for our club.

It is a reminder that guardians are given the opportunity to reduce training fees by 20,000 in exchange for 8 hours of "volunteer work" which is included in the work contribution, for example around junior league tournaments, at events at Fylkir, etc.

We at the County Football Department focus on developing BUR's activities in a positive way with a strong emphasis on both the County's educational and achievement work.
