County bus 2025-2026

The county bus will start operating on Sept. 1, 2025 and will run until the schools go on summer break. The bus will run every weekday according to the schedule below.

The trolley does not run around school holidays, Christmas, Easter and other public holidays.

Everyone who uses the trolley must be registered and registration takes place on the company's website www.fylkir.is through the registration system. The registration process has been changed so that it is now a separate "course" called Fylkisrútan.

The price for the winter is 25,000.- kr

Half is paid for child number two and nothing for the third, etc.
Contact fylkir@fylkir.is regarding this, either before registering or afterwards and a refund will be given. Payment can be spread over four times.

The trips are mainly for children in grades 1 to 4 in the neighborhood's elementary schools: Ártúnsskóli, Árbæjarskóli, Selásskóli and Norðlingaskóli. Older children can take advantage of the trips if there is space.

It is the parents' responsibility to ensure that the after-school care center knows when the child is to take the stroller.

A daycare center employee will accompany those registered at the daycare center to the trolley.

Those kids who have bags and clothes can store them in the practice area during practice. After practice is over, the kids are the responsibility of their parents.

If something is forgotten in the carriage, it is taken to Fylkishöll.

It is important for parents to be aware of the schedule of the group their child is training with. Training sessions can be cancelled and sometimes training times are changed.

The train doesn't wait for anyone but sets off at the appointed time.

If you have any questions, please contact the County Sports Representative Halldór Steinsson, doristeins@fylkir.is.

Also, all suggestions are welcome.
